Quartz

What is a Quartz Surface?

Quartz is a man-made engineered product formed by combining natural ground quartz, polymers, resins, and pigments. It is used for both home and commercial construction. Quartz is scratch, stain, and heat resistant but is also more lightweight than most natural stone products. Although quartz does not have as durable of a surface as granite, the structure of quartz is stronger than granite and other natural stone products which leads to fewer issues during shipping and allows for more unique applications and designs.

Quartz can have a variety of edge profiles and is typically 3cm thick but can also be 2cm thick depending on the application. Quartz can be used as an indoor surface product but not as an outdoor surface product. Quartz offers customers a durable and reliable product with a wide variety of colors. Due to quartz being a man-made product, it is non-porous which means it never needs to be sealed.
