“We take pride in offering one-of-a-kind, custom-order projects in granite, quartz and porcelain products,” explains owner Mark Hoffmann. “I opened Bedrock Granite in my home’s garage back in 2006.”
Before beginning his Bedrock Granite business, Mark operated Mark Hoffmann Home Improvements as a general contractor for more than 20 years. I made the decision to change the direction of my career by focusing on my interest in the stone industry,” he says. “We focus on providing knowledge, customer service and unique solutions to challenging projects.”
Nearly 10 years ago, Bedrock moved to its current location off of Hwy 60 in Slinger with one of the area’s largest fullslab showrooms.

Bedrock Granite offers its clients granite, marble, quartz, Dekton, other natural stones and a variety of tile products for kitchens, bathrooms, bars, fireplaces and living areas—indoors and outdoors.
“We specialize in custom residential work, while working with commercial projects as well,” explains Mark. “Our American stoneworkers are qualified to work with any stone—including exotic
varieties and unique designs—and our elite sales staff offers years of experience in customer service and design. Indoors or outdoors, we’ll work with you to find the perfect product for your project.”
Mark shared that when visiting one of his very first customers after installation, he noticed a doily in the middle of the peninsula. “The husband stated that his wife has the doily on the countertop
to hide a specific spot on the stone. The husband said he loved the spot because it adds character, so they continually took turns covering and uncovering the unique spot! It was that experience that confirmed to me that one person’s beauty is another person’s eyesore!”
Building on his father’s passion
Mark is the youngest of five children who says he was blessed with five children of his own. “My father, who passed away when I was 8 years old, was a very successful architect and builder with only an eighth-grade education. It’s apparent that I took on the same interests and drive when becoming a general contractor and then starting Bedrock Granite.”
